Helen Ashmead, ART

As a painter and printmaker, Helen creates artwork depicting her favorite subjects – angels, the flora and fauna of nature – everything of the natural world and beyond.

She conducts classes and workshops in painting and printmaking. She has exhibited throughout the south and northeast and her works are included in collections across the country.

Helen holds a B.F.A. from the University of CT. Continuing study includes graduate work in drawing and painting at the Harford Art School of the University of Hartford, printmaking with Barry E. Wilson of Jacksonville, and portrait painting with Patty Whitty of New Orleans. A lifelong learner, she is committed to strengthening her skills, vocabulary and scope as an artist.
