Jackie Hand, LETTERS & MUSIC


Jackie has been a member of NLAPW since 1974. She served as State Chaplain, past Music Chair & Music Co-Chair, (both state and local), past newsletter editor and past Jacksonville co-president with Phoebe Marner.   


Jackie has won numerous awards in her branch and in FSA for her music, poetry and short stories. She was named Pen Woman of the Year at the FSA Biennial Conference in 2003, and won First Place for the newly named Jacksonville Revue newsletter. She served as FSA Editor of The Palm for two terms, and served as editor of About the Branches for the Pen Woman magazine as well.


Two of her patriotic songs were recently used by National on two occasions, for the 200th Birthday Celebration of Abraham Lincoln, 1809 –2009.
